The Jupiter made our solar system odd

Next time when you are studying about the solar system and wonder why it is such a big mess then the answer is Jupiter. After the study of number of solar systems within our galaxy scientists have reached this conclusion.  Jupiter, because of its sheer size may have obstructed the formation of many planets during its journey to the current orbit.

Jupiter is the prime reason for our planetary system being different than any other system in the galaxy. The scientists have managed to find out around 1,800 planets which are revolving around some particular star, like our solar system. These planets are part of around 500 planetary systems with different planets.

The research says that the normal planetary system is made up of few giant planets with 10 times more mass than that of the Earth and orbiting around the star at a distance between the Sun and Mercury.  These so called ‘super-Earths’ are made up of volatile materials than can be vaporized along with rocky substances.

Based on the data, researchers have concluded that super-Earth possess higher atmospheric pressures than the Earth. The giant planets like Jupiter are much closer to the stars in other cases. The orbiting distance is only 10 percent of the distance between Mercury and the Sun. This research has pointed out of odd our solar system formation is.

Scientists started studying the Jupiter from its genesis and found out that the giant was moving towards the Sun before the formation of the Saturn and after that the planet moved outwards and settle at its present orbit. This must have resulted into a collision.
