Lenovo IdeaPad Z510 Notebook Review
Lenovo has released abundant of laptops this year including 15.6-inch multimedia notebook. The Z500 notebook series stormed the world with its Ivy Bridge CPUs and i7-3632QM core but the whole new Z501 series only get better with its Haswell CPUs. The dual core CPU is supported by Haswell style and clocks in at 2.5 GHz. Both the CPUs have turbo clocks and similar bases. Due to these Haswell CPUs not only the laptop functions well but the battery life is also prolonged.
The Z510 series is about 2mm extended than Z500’s in length and about 5mm wider. The shape, size, color, material, build quality is same as Z500 but the new Z510’s has its one side flattened. The operating system used is Windows 8 (64 bit). It has a matte display of 15.6 inch with 1920X1080 pixels as native resolution. The display does not envelop sRGB or AdobeRGB. It can also run tasks like video editing and 3d gaming along with Skype or video playback. In this series a ribbon cable connects the motherboard to the keyboard. The maintenance is not so easy in Z501 series. The build-up is quite compact. The two ram slots featured by the IdeaPad are engaged by a Module of 4 GB. A plug connects the battery to the motherboard which can be removed.
The IdeaPad has two USB 3.0 ports which gives quite a competition to all the latest models of other companies. In Nutshell this laptop is win-win for all the applications be it gaming, video editing or programming.
